Vanities Gallery’s New Exhibition – MURMURES D’ÂMES

On the evening of March 13, 2025, Vanities Gallery hosted an opening reception for the group exhibition MURMURES D’ÂMES. Bringing together Long Bing, Han Yu, and Zhu Qingwei, this exhibition explores the hidden dialogues within the human soul from diverse perspectives. Running until April 12, 2025, the show has drawn notable figures from the art world, critics, and a wide audience, inviting them to listen to an intimate conversation that transcends culture, philosophy, and emotion.

Through the works of the three artists, MURMURES D’ÂMES constructs a deeply reflective dialogue on memory, anxiety, and redemption. Long Bing delicately captures traces of time and space, infusing existentialist philosophy into his paintings—each work serving as a tender reflection on the journey of life. Han Yu focuses on conflict and tension in everyday life, using bold compositions to reveal the fragility and desires of human nature, confronting the audience with the uncertainties and tremors within their hearts. Inspired by Nietzsche’s The Birth of Tragedy, Zhu Qingwei intertwines vivid and soft colors, externalizing fear into a visual language, exploring the ultimate question of healing spiritual pain through creation.

At the opening reception, curators Victoria Zhong and Thierry Tessier shared their curatorial vision:
“Despite their distinct styles, these three artists collectively resonate with the depths of the human soul. Their art responds to the anxieties of our time, inscribing a silent epic onto the canvas.”
During the interactive session, artist Long Bing remarked:
“Creation is a way of recording the trajectory of the soul—every brushstroke is an homage to memory.”
Meanwhile, Zhu Qingwei, echoing Nietzsche’s philosophy, noted:
“The mission of art is to help us transcend fear and hear the sacred melody within suffering.”

Vanities Gallery describes MURMURES D’ÂMES as more than just a visual feast—it is a healing journey. By bringing together the perspectives of the three artists, the exhibition invites viewers to pause and reflect amidst life’s chaos, experiencing how art transforms personal pain into a resonant melody. Victoria Zhong, the gallery’s founder, emphasized:
“We are committed to building a bridge for dialogue between Eastern and Western art, and this exhibition is a perfect embodiment of that mission.”
